2018 Annual MLIS Summit

On:

Monday, April 23, 2018 from 5 PM to 8 PM

In the Rauenhorst Ballroom, 3rd Floor, Coeur de Catherine building.Featuring guest speaker, Richard Kong, Skokie (IL) Public Library Director and a celebration of our continued accreditation from the American Library Association Committee on Accreditation (ALA-COA).

The Summit is our annual gathering of our community. Students, alums, faculty (fulltime, adjuncts), staff, Advisory Council, employers, LIS Professionals and friends of the program are invited to attend. Refreshments will be served.

Please register by Monday, April 16, 2018 to help us with our catering order.

Summit Activities by the Hour:

1Accreditation Celebration

Social hour starts at 5 PM, when we will celebrate our continued accreditation.

2Guest Speaker

Starting about 6 PM, our guest speaker, Richard Kong, will speak on Compassionate Leadership.

He has been director since July 2016 and served as deputy director from 2013-2016. He holds an MSI in Library and Information Services from the University of Michigan School of Information, and an M.DIV from Princeton Theological Seminary.

3Table Discussions

To close out the evening, we keep our tradition of holding focused discussions with our community members (topic TBA).
