Special Collections Intern

The Special Collections intern supports the library system by preserving historic library documents and setting up a filing system for the preserved documents. The internship is for 8-10 hours per week beginning in late September and continuing into December. Some experience with archival work is desirable, but not required. Intern responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Identify and catalog historical documents and photos
  • Process historical collection for storage per professional standards
  • Prepare system for storage and retrieval of historical material
  • Digitize historical materials using scanning equipment

Job type: Part-time, on-site

Job length: 12 weeks

Reports to: Collection Strategies Manager

Academic Credit: Upon request
