College Librarian for Engineering

The Robert E. Kennedy Library at California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly) seeks a creative, collaborative, and proactive librarian for the tenure-track position of College Librarian for Engineering. The College Librarian for Engineering plays a key role in Cal Poly’s educational mission by having a strong presence in the College of Engineering (CENG). The College Librarian for Engineering builds and maintains close relationships with students and faculty in order to meet their coursework, research, teaching, and publication needs by connecting them to the library’s services, content, and tools.
Under the direction of the Associate Dean for Academic Services, the College Librarian for Engineering develops and leads the services and programs, as well as selects relevant
information resources, to support the unique curricular and research needs of the College of Engineering’s students, faculty, and staff. Responsibilities include instruction and research assistance, outreach and liaison services, collection development, and programmatic support activities. The College Librarian for Engineering works collaboratively in these roles with the other librarians and library staff.
