Introduction to Anti-Racist Pedagogy for Librarians Workshop

Please save the date for a MLA Instruction Round Table workshop, Introduction to Anti-Racist Pedagogy for Librarians, presented by Melissa Prescott, Professor and Research Librarian at St. Cloud State University.

In this workshop, participants will:
Identify and examine issues of systemic racism in libraries
Reflect on their social location and how it manifests in libraries and specifically the library instruction classroom
Apply anti-racist pedagogy to an existing or new assignment, activity, program, project or event
Date: Friday, February 1, 2019
Time: 9am – 12pm
Where: St. Catherine University Library, St. Paul
Cost: $10 for MLA members, $15 for non-members
